Generations

Today is my birthday

As I reflect on my life thus far

I can’t help but to realize

That I am in a blessed position

More than what my ancestors experienced or could’ve imagined

I am 4 generations from slavery

I am 3 generations from sharecroppers

I am 2 generations from housekeepers

I am 1 generation from school teachers

I am 1 generation from small business/entreprenuer

I am the first doctor in my family

I am a mom

Most of all,

I AM GRATEFUL!
